A Ride

[Steven]

Mark feels her climb onto the bike. As she wraps her arms around him he gives her arms a affectionate squeeze, pulling her just a little closer.

Mark reaches out to start the bike and stops leans back to Dirge, "You said yah have never road a bike before?" Mark asked.

[Yog-Sothoth]

Dirge felt Mark pull her closer to him and found herself pressed up firmly against his back as she held on to begin the ride. She shook her head in response to his question, "No, I haven't. It's kind of exciting and a little scary. It is just the thought of moving that fast and not being able to see. Just be careful," she finished while smiling at Mark.

[Steven]

"No Worries Love, Ah'll take good care of yah. First things first though. That there," Mark moves her foot over to be on top of the now cold muffler. "That gets really hot once we get going so watch your foot and your calf, kay? Just keep'em on that Peg and your should be fine."

Mark started the bike. He loves that feeling, the first turn over and the vibration of the twin cilinder 4 valve engine start up. He put his goggles on and revved the engine. Mark gives Dirge a tap on the knee and drove off into the night. He started off slow, taking it nice and easy for Dirge. Letting her get comfortable with the wind and vibrations...

Dirge made a mental note of Marks warning and so once she found the pegs with her feet she rested her feet on them, then left them there. The cold night air whipped by her as they started down the road. The sensations were much different than riding in a car. With the car the only thing that told you were moving were the sounds or the speeding up, slowing down, and turning of the vehicle.

On the motorcycle she could feel the resistance of the air as they moved through it and she could feel the engine rumbling and shaking the bike beneath her. She found that everything on the bike required a more active involvement, especially when it came to turning, and it increased the physical sensation of moving. She liked it immensely because it was much easier to actually be a part of the ride and experience it with her own senses. She laid her head against he back and grinned happily.

[Steven]

Mark drove on for another 10 minutes or so and finally was forced to stop due to a red light. He enjoyed the feeling of Dirge pressed up against him. He was enjoying this ride far more then the First time He took a girl for a ride here in Sacramento. "What was her name again?" Mark thought to himself. Riding with Obsidian was a lot of fun too but this was different. He liked Obsidian, and she was definitely sexy but something about Dirge...

"How you enjoying the Ride so far?" Mark asked Dirge as they sat at the light.

Dirge felt them slow and then come to a stop. She assumed that they were at a stoplight due to the traffic noise that she still heard. She smiled in response to Mark's question and answered enthusiastically , "I love it! I am able to feel and experience the ride in a way completely different than a car or bus. It's like we are flying down the road!"

[Steven]

"Alright, Ah'm gonna get on tha Interstate here so ah can open 'er up. Yah ready?" Mark asked as he pulled away from the stoplight.

He is glad that she is enjoying himself so. Mark is very pleased that he could give Dirge something she had never experienced before. But how long would this last. Probably until Ah fuck it up. He thought to himself.

Still smiling, Dirge tightened her grip and replied, "Ok, I'm ready. Open her up."

She still found it difficult to think what Mark could see in her and why he would want to spend so much time with her. She really wanted to believe that he wanted her for her, but among kindred that usually was not the case. Does he want something from me? But, I have nothing, so that can't be it. Does he want to use me and toss me aside? There are far prettier girls for that than me though, aren't there?

She sighed softly. She was unsure if things would last so she resolved to just enjoy the ride and the company while she could.

[Steven]

Mark pulled on to the interstate and once he was clear of the on ramp he opened her up to 75. He loved this feeling, the wind, the cars wooshing by. It was like he was flying. It was like he was alive again.

Sharing this with Dirge made him happy as well. He was happy that she was enjoying herself and liked this. Mark pulled off the interstate and drove over to river road. He pulled aside by an embankment. "So? what do yah think." He asked dirge now that he had stopped. The Bike is still running

Dirge hung on and enjoyed the ride as he sped along the interstate. It was a lot funner than the city streets. Then she felt the bike turn off the interstate, slow, and finally come to a rest. She smiled at Mark as she still clung to him on the rumbling bike. "It was incredible, I love it! Thank you so much for taking me!" Dirge beamed excitedly at Mark. It didn't take her long to realize that she really enjoyed motorcycles, especially since they gave her such a wonderful reason to justify clinging tightly to Mark. She leaned in and gave him a quick peck on the cheek in her excitement.
