Biography
Pre-Arcadia
Kelly was always a quiet kid, then again being passed around from foster home to faster home can do that to a kid. Her parents died when she was just a baby so the only childhood memories she had was those of someone else's family. The one constant in her ever changing childhood was her violin.
It was what kept her sane and the only thing in this world she loved. Due to her lack of caring for anything else most saw her as a cold unsettling person and found it hard to get close to her. Yet one family was willing to try to ignore her cold demeanor and attempt to force her to bond with them.
I a perfect example of good intentions gone horribly wrong they confiscated he violin promising to give it back once she attempted to open up to them. It was Kelly's breaking point, once they went to bed she stole her violin back and ran away.
Using her talents with the violin she became a street performer and did quite well until she attracted the wrong kind of attention.
Durance
Kelly's keeper was a large decrepit hag of a fey. She was known as Hag-Mother and forced Kelly to play her soothing songs to lull her prey out of hiding. Things got worse once night time came, Hag-Mother locked Kelly in a cage at night and though it was sufficient to keep her in it allowed many dark and savage creatures in.
Much like the magic effect her song had on her keeper's prey Kelly desperately tried to play her violin to keep the creatures at bay. Her song managed to keep her safe but the treacherous creatures laid in wait every night waiting for her to let her guard down.
Years passed as Kelly fought to stay alive hunting with hag-mother during the day and defending herself from the monsters at night.
