History
Dr. Sarah Jenson grew up in a small town in New York. She, and her younger brother, were raised by their Mother, after their Father left them after a fight. Her brother ran away from home two years later, at the age of 16. She graduated high school with honors, and attended NYU for a degree in Linguistics. She attended the Univeristy of Pennsylvania for graduate school, receiving advanced degrees in both Mathematics and Linguistics, with a concentration in cryptography. Her work earned her a position with the NSA, as a codebreaker.
She Awoke at age 30, in the middle of deciphering a encoded transmission that was unlike anything she had seen before. Once she realized she was awakened, she was approached by some members of Project Nightfall, a group of Guardians who use the intelligence agencies as a Labyrinth. They brought her into the fold, using her abilities to decode messages passed between Seer pylons and Banisher cells. She took the name Rosetta, after the famous Rosetta stone that finally helped crack the Egyptian Hieroglyphs. Her apprenticeship was served under Cypher, a member of the Cryptologos who taught her about many of the nuances exhibited in High Speech. He would have continued to mentor her into his Legacy, but she caught a transmission between the local Epopt and the local representative of the Ministry of Panopticon. They seemed to be trading secrets.
Worried about the future of her career, she cashed in her few remaining favors to get a forged identity, Dr. Sarah Prescott, and got a job teaching at UC Sacramento.
