Samantha Dawns is a Rahu Storm Lord and Pack member of The Sworn

History

Life in Philadelphia

Born in a town a few miles away from Philadelphia, Samantha grew up in a small wolf-blooded family. Most of her life, she was ignorant of her heritage. She never really questioned why her father was gone most of the time or why there were scratch marks on her door or why everyone had suck a short fuse before someone started lashing or even the strange crap that seemed to happen around Sam and Dahlia, her sister. As far as she was concerned, it was just part of life. At least that was what she was told.

But things changed rapidly on the 22nd birthday of her older sister Dahlia. She vanished without a trace. Samantha's mother just said she was "with her father" and left it at that but that didn't fly with her. Things were starting to get stranger still when her mother started making the same long absences as her father. Fed up with things, she devoted large amounts of her time tracking down her sister while trying to unravel what was going on. At least a year latter Samantha managed to locate a newspaper article involving an attack by 'stray dogs' somewhere in the Philly itself and a short interview involving someone who managed to describe Dahlia down to a T. Sam packed a few things for a week or so and went over as soon as she could.

A whole week was devoted to locating Dahlia while following any information she could find. Most of what she found out was tied with the increase of dog attacks. Sam put two and two together and followed the paper trail. It was much more difficult than what it should have been. The regular things that happened around her house seemed to happen more frequently up to a point of paranoia. She continued, noticing that the trail was starting to lead away from Philly back to her home, which was suspicious on its own.

Coming home after days of searching, she found her Father waiting in the living room. Along with her mother and Dahlia, looking allot stronger than they did before. After a short reunion, it was revealed to her that she was related to the Uratha and that he was pleased that she had shown some instinct in tracking and earned the right to know. Samantha was told that about the spirits that plagued her life, what had happened to Dahlia and her mother and finally about some of their struggles. It took her a a month to adjust to the change, but she managed. Barely.

At first, Samantha was fine with the new arrangement with the family. All she had to do was live a normal life while her family dealt with the problems afflicting their town. Of course, she wanted to help, but they dissuaded her with talks about the dangers a mortal would endure against their enemies. One day, she though, I'd be able to help. But that mentality didn't last long. Over time she grew more impatient and angry with time. She didn't understand why Luna wasn't granting her the Change. It was explained over and over again that not everyone with the blood of the wolf changed and that many of them would simply grow old without ever feeling the call from Luna. That only built on her aggression and growing Anxiety to the point she was finding relief in beating the crap out of anything and mostly everyone she came across. Not surprising that she now has a minor list of offences restricted to assault.

Leaving and Travel

In the end, her father decided that he had enough with her anger. He managed to craft a fetish for her, give Sam an old revolver, directed her to a old stash of silver bullets and set her up with second hand Ford Ranger and was told to leave and "find herself" in the world. Samantha said her goodbyes and headed off to, well anywhere.

By the age of 22, Samantha traveled much across the US, often stopping to take short part time jobs to support herself. She has run into other packs and was frequently used as part of lighting rod for spiritual activity or occasionally as backup as she is the only one that can use silver without damaging a werewolf's harmony. She did not stay around long though. Seeing alphas and the rest of a pack swarming for her attention just irritates her. Her life has managed to toughen her up and she was hopeful she would undergo the change, but as time went on she is started to grow disillusioned with the whole thing and started to think she was meant to stay wholly human.

Sacramento

Samantha arrived in Sacramento after hearing news reports about several people being torn to shreds and suspected The Pure. It didn't take long until the infamously insane Eternal Sentry located her and put her into a wild goose chase. The only good that came out of it was that Samantha managed to get a place to stay until she could find a better residence.

Over the passing Days, Samantha started receiving Dreams about an old and savage world. She had such dreams in the past and thought little about it. Then again, she never saw them with such clarity. One night before going to stake out Pure territory, she found herself drawn to the full moon and before realizing what happened soon found herself on the ground naked, bleeding and surrounded by other werewolves. She was taken into the Sworn and told she had become one herself. Even though it was something she had wanted for some time, she started having second thoughts when she learned she had murdered a man, although it was too late to go back.

She proved herself useful when the local packs were trying to repair the Hilsi and the spirit world. She managed to distract a Pure sniper long enough for the packs to finish the rite.

Once the chaos had settled, Samantha went through Tribe Initiations for the Storm Lords. She was told she had to train with a recently dishonorably discharged Drill Sergent for two days without revealing her true nature. Although she initially took the abuse, she eventually lost her temper and nearly castrating him with her bare hands. She managed to hold her temper long enough to beat the Sergent into submitting to her and making him undergo the training he had planed. She was welcomed into the Storm lords and told about the Lodge of Winter. While joining, she received a brief vision of Skolis-Ur himself. Whether or not this was a good sign or not remains to be seen.
