On 20 April 2011 the Uratha Stefan Anderson experienced his first change under the Gibbous Moon. [1]
- Stefan Anderson wakes up in his motel room after a singing gig. Unable to get back to sleep, he goes out looking for something to soothe a sore throat. Old folklore starts churning through his head, and before he knows it, he's running into the park in pursuit of some indistinct thing. As thought brushes away, he throws his head back and howls. He transforms for the first time.[2]
- Matthew Greene tells Stefan Anderson what he is. Understandably, Stefan freaks out, disorientated by the change, and his fear of the monster that he remembers attacking his mother and girlfriend a few years earlier. The initial explanation doesn't help much, as Jordan Wright telling the new Cahalith that it was all Luna's plan doesn't go over well. Stefan insists that he doesn't want to be a monster.[4]
- Matthew Greene shares some of his history with Stefan Anderson, who is still freaked out, but starts to relax. The explanations eventually start making sense to the new Cahalith, even if Christian Linch has to resist the urge to slap him silly for being so freaked out.[5]
