Sundance Court
From Edge of Darkness Wiki
|
- Held on 13 February 2009
A Court hosted by Asa Clarke for Prince Freddrick, per the custom of Friday 13 Courts. During Court, O-Yama Hatori was chastised by Sheriff Ishani Naetesh, Asa Clarke was tested and complimented by Prince Freddrick, and Jane Scotts delivered a gift to Asa, on behalf of Icarus, the Mekhet Priscus.
Court
Courts held on Friday the 13th, to honor the Nosferatu Prince, also were required to be of unique themes; this one was mid-day ruins of India. Sheets of glass dusted in azure paint were suspended from the ceiling, and an oversized spotlight was shone through a clear area to replicate the sun and sky. Similar sheets of glass covered the walls, to provide indirect 'sky' light, and were painted with India's ruins. Live flora and birds were placed all around, to complete the effect.
Entry
A black set of double doors and switchback was used to bring Kindred into the room, with the second door dropping the curtains that covered the switchback. This effected an immediate 'immersion' in the noon-day.
Elysium
In reference to an annoying Gangrel, O-Yama Hatori suggested that should she be destroyed, he'd like the honor of silencing her annoyance, forgetting he was in an Elysium. Ishani Naetesh bodily slammed him against the wall, reminding him, and all others, that such a violation --or suggestion of-- would not be tolerated.
The Prince's Regard
Prince Freddrick chose to criticize the authenticity of the the setting, claiming to have come from India. Further, he asked Asa Clarke where his throne was. The Ventrue Priscus located a stone bench prop, and carried it to the Prince, at which point the Prince complimented him for his composure and instructed the Harpy Rahyna to make it known.
Notes
- The gift delivered by Jane Scotts to Asa Clarke was an invitation to join the Invictus.
- The entire Court's illusion was, in actuality, a Valentine's Day gift from Asa to Ishani, which he let her know at the stroke of midnight.
- Seneschal Twist previewed the Court, and the illusion, prior to the actual event, and expressed her approval.
- More than one Mekhet succumbed to Rotschreck upon exposure to the 'day', including Bella Orchid and Jane Scotts.
