A meeting held by Ariana Donovan at the Lily in the middle of October 2011 ^[1]

• Priscus Ariana Donovan calls a meeting of the Domain's Ventrue, due to the arrival of several newcomers, and the need for familial introductions. Her ghoul Felix stands on the door. Asa Clarke arrives promptly, following quickly by Ricardo Rodriguez, Kaiden Kesom and Julianne Cross. They exchange pleasantries, some more formal and eloquent than others.^[2]

• Andrews Montgomery arrives slightly late, but opts not to speak and simply sits at the table as the meeting begins. This surprises the established Invictus members, who take him for a Carthian. Ariana Donovan begins the meeting, giving the newcomers a chance to introduce themselves. ^[3]

• Ricardo Rodriguez offers his pedigree and a formal introduction to those who don't know him. Andrews Montgomery follows the trend, as does Kaiden Kesom. Julianne Cross reiterates her pedigree for the second time. ^[4]

• Ariana Donovan reiterates, for all new members, that the Ventrue do not share Dominate with those outside the family. She and Asa Clarke then question Andrews Montgomery on the nature of his business. Andrews blusters to an extent, showing an overconcern for his business without mentioning seeking acknowledgement. His Priscus reminds him that this is a priority, and that he cannot own a business in the Domain without it. ^[5]

• Ariana Donovan expresses a desire to appoint Ricardo Rodriguez as Whip. Julianne Cross asks why the clan needs a Whip at all. Ricardo speaks up on his own account, demonstrating his opinion of his own worth for the position. Asa Clarke comments that historically, there has never been a Whip, though Joseph Hartman once expressed interest in the position. The meeting rapidly turns into the new Lords picking at Ricardo's Covenant affliations over the title, to the Prince's annoyance. The Priscus cuts off the debate before it sours further, confirming Ricardo's position as a Soldier of the Invictus. ^[6]

• Kaiden Kesom demands an incentive for his loyalty to the Ventrue. Unsurprisingly, this does not go down well with Asa Clarke, who calmly revokes his acknowledgement in the Domain. Kaiden attempts to argue that his loyalty to the Domain was not in question, only his loyalty to the family, but Asa does not dignify the plea with a response, and Kaiden leaves. ^[7]

• Ariana Donovan states that loyalty is not paid for, just as respect is earnt. She explains why she appointed Ricardo Rodriguez as Whip - because he had served the Domain, and she had never needed to ask him for his loyalty. He had given it without question. If Kaiden Kesom succeeded in anything in the meeting, it appears to be proving the need for a Whip, as the other Ventrue accept the appointment without any further arguements. Yet again, Julianne Cross brings up Covenants, but this time does not try and use it to avoid Ricardo's appointment, but to rescind her earlier arguement.^[8]

• Ariana Donovan congratulates Ricardo Rodriguez and invites Andrews Montgomery and Julianne Cross to come to her if they have any questions about family business. The meeting ends. ^[9]
