"He stares at the moon and years of frustration boil up through his gut to his throat. The howl is the release he has been searching for and it is long and it is hopeful."

• Shadow Tongue makes his first appearance in Sacramento ^[3]

• Vincent figures out what he is.^[4]

"Fancy that, No opposable thumbs." - Vincent Bailey

• Matthew Greene attempts to explain to Vincent what he is. ^[5]

"Human? Not exactly. In some sense, you never were. You're a werewolf." - Matthew Greene

• Vincent decides to go with The Sworn to help them recover from there loses. ^[6]

"You lost members? I'm sorry for that, Maybe I could make up your numbers then; so long as I'm not offending anyone." - Vincent Bailey

• Shadow Tongue and Matthew Greene meet for the first time. ^[7]

"I haven't seen you before. Are you new to the city?" - Matthew Greene
